As promised our first of many quick monthly updates. Firstly it was so wonderful to catch up with so many of you over the summer and we certainly feel refreshed after our furlough.
We returned to Brussels very happy to be home despite the rain and last week we all thoroughly enjoyed being a part of Fiesta, a holiday club ran between a number of churches. Kev enjoyed doing puppets and songs for the 5-11 year olds and Nicki loved being with the under fives doing songs. Sam and Ellie of course enjoyed taking part. It was particularly good to have Nicki’s non-Christian friend, Catie, coming along everyday to help with the young ones…of course she got to hear the simple talks and songs each day and intends to keep up her new friendships which is wonderful. We officially started back to YWAM after our break today and Kev returned to the office with fresh enthusiasm to face a summer’s worth of e-mails! September will be busy as ministries start up again. We would particularly ask for prayer for our team retreat in the Ardennes. Before Furlough we had a bit of a troubled time as a team so this would be good for team building. We have a guest speaker from YWAM Wales for the weekend so please pray that we hear God’s encouragement and guidance. Pray also for our YWAM Brussels open day on 23rd September when we will be opening up our ministries and offices. The bookshop and Bar will also be open until late with special artists. Pray people from the city will have a greater understanding of what we do and how we can be in a greater partnership to see God touch this city and beyond.
Key dates follow. Thanks for all your prayers,
Nicki, Kevin, Sam and Ellie.
